Description

The Flexible-Use, 36″ Subsonic Wind Tunnel is located in Advanced Technology Research Center (ATRC) at Oklahoma State University. The wind tunnel was custom built by Diehl Aero Nautical. It is powered by a 125 hp centrifugal fan. The subsonic wind tunnel has a contraction ratio of 1:16. The typical test section is 12 ft long and has a cross section of 3×3 ft, but the test section can be interchanged with the maximum test section length of 24 ft. The wind speed in the tunnel is variable with a maximum speed of 26.8 m/s (60 mph).
